“I Can Hear Your Voice” was one of those dramas I’ve recently seen that really struck me and I couldn’t help but fall in love with it. I’m a fan of Asian dramas and have been watching them for close to 7 years now. In all of that time, some of the most memorable ones to me have been watched at least twice – (I enjoyed them that much). This is how I know a drama is special – if it gives me that feeling of wanting to watch it all over again from the start. I Hear Your Voice gave me that vibe from the first couple episodes and after reaching to the end of episode 18 I was sure. It was one of the most compelling and well executed Korean Dramas of 2013 thus far.
This drama managed to elicit so many emotions – anger, resentment, joy, hope, happiness and anything else in between. The actors were skilled and on point in portraying their characters so well that at some points it was hard to not get sucked into the scenes, forgetting that these characters and the situations they were in were not part of ‘reality,’ but a well crafted ‘fictional world.’
Nevertheless, these are some of the reasons why I felt this drama was so good. From the storyline, to the cinematography, to the acting and the music, everything was nicely meshed together. I don’t think it was flawless by any means, but it was definitely of top quality in production. Of course, I wished like many of the other viewers that there were more episodes, but I digress.
The point is, for this drama, since it was the most recent one I’ve completed, I felt like it was worth the recommendation to any of the drama fans out there. But then again, if you’re an avid fan like me, chances are you’ve already seen it, are planning to see it, or at least heard of it.
For the rest who are just wetting their feet in the world of Korean Dramas, I’m sure it would be a great start to a fun hobby! 😀
In addition to this recommendation, see below the story summary from Viki.com as well as a link to the first episode of the drama where you can watch the rest of the episodes as well. There is also Drama Fever!
Summary: Where can an accused criminal with all the evidence stacked against him turn for help? “I Hear Your Voice,” also known as “I Can Hear Your Voice” is a 2013 South Korean drama series directed by Jo Soo Won. The legal drama centers around Jang Hye Sung (Lee Bo Yeong), a brazen, sharp-tongued female attorney who says everything that comes to her mind with no filter. When she gets to the point in her career where it’s hard to muster up any enthusiasm for her work, she teams up with the serious Cha Kwan Woo (Yoon Sang Hyun), a passionate public defender, and Park Soo Ha (Lee Jong Suk), a 19-year-old with a special ability to hear people’s inner thoughts. Together, they also must face a killer with a personal vendetta that entwines all of their lives. Can they bring the dangerous man to justice?
Don’t take my word for it though – give it a chance! I’d love to know what you think afterwards.

P.S Another amazing drama that aired this summer was Gu Family Book! It’s definitely worth more than a mention but I just had to put it in here. 🙂
